Our History

Our Shared Roots
Al Faizin Women Group was formed in 2017 with the aim of empowering, and uniting women through education and collaboration, honoring tradition while embracing meaningful change.
The Alfaizin Women’s Group began as a table banking Chama, a supportive network for women in the neighborhood. Recognizing the need for financial stability, they evolved into a savings group, offering loans for essential needs like school fees, medical bills, and funeral contributions.
In 2023, their ambition led them to merge with the Yaa Razzak Self Help Group, a strategic move to secure the KEMSFED grant under the Blue Economy Project. Their success resulted in the establishment of the Yaa Razzak Bakery, a symbol of their empowerment and a source of sustainable income.
Undeterred, in 2024, the Alfaizin Women’s Group expanded their vision to empower the youth and women in their community. They applied for the Trust-Lab project, successfully securing a grant for “Her Voice Digital Shield.” This initiative, with its focus on training and community strengthening, stands as a testament to their unwavering determination and their commitment to uplifting their community.
